I am the drama teacher at a girls high school, and so many of the girls that I instruct have dreams of becoming the next big movie star. My job is to encourage them, and I decided to add a Marilyn Monroe movie poster in my office to remind the girls that everyone has to start somewhere in the quest for fame. It’s a great conversational piece, and I think that it allows them to see that I think highly of screen legends too. Her face is still so widely recognized, and when I show one of her movies to the students, they love it.
