Moving to a new state?
July 7, 2008 7:19 am AutosI think one of the worst moves anyone could do is the trip from Florida to California. Believe it or not, I’ve done this quite a few times and it is not fun. I’ve flown, I’ve driven, I’ve taken the train, and if you can think of an additional form of transportation that I didn’t mention, I have probably done it. The reason for all the trips is because I have family in California that I love to visit as much as possible. But the problem is, I hate that I never stay for longer than a few weeks. However, for my next trip out, I’m planning on staying out there for a few months because my grandfather has an opening at his company that I’m going to be working at. Gas prices are absolutely insane right now and so I don’t plan on driving but I need to get my car out to California so I can use it to get back and forth from work. So what I’m planning on doing is transporting the car from one state to another state using a car shipping company. This way, I won’t have to worry about the safety of my car, as I know it’ll be in good hands and I can solely concentrate on getting myself out to California. If the price of flights doesn’t go down soon, my car may be waiting for me a lot longer than planned.
