I’m partial to 4×4 vehicles, and there’s nothing better than a car that can cut a dash whether it’s on tarmac or sticky mud.  When the time came to upgrade I wanted assurance that my choice of car was going to be reliable as well as powerful, and I found everything that I wanted in a used Toyota Rav4.

Some have criticised the Rav4s shift from 2 to 4 door models, but frankly it’s one of the only improvements that needed to be made on this impressive vehicle.  I prefer being able to shove stuff in the back without having to faff about with seats, and certainly I might not have been so eager to invest in a Rav4 if the only option was a two door model.
