4:11 am Business

There is an effort in the works by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to create a standard document outlining good project management techniques and practices that are applicable for most industries throughout the world. Sixty plus representatives from seventeen countries met recently at a meeting in Washington D.C. hosted by the American National Standards Institute in the vain of beginning to develop such a standards document. The ISO has 157 member countries, 25 of which are participating in developing this standard. The Project Management Institute, which is an official certification agency for the project management consultant profession in the U.S. is acting as the administrative secretariat for this endeavor.
