The last time I had issues with my mouse freezing, I go so frustrated that I threw it against the wall. It was a cheap mouse that I had paid less than $5 for so I really wasn’t that upset, I was more irritated that I couldn’t use my mouse to operate my computer because it wouldn’t do anything without the mouse. When I got a new mouse, I made sure that it was optical and didn’t have the annoying track ball to get stuck. It was just too many things that I didn’t want to fuss with all the time.
