Cuboid manipulation
November 3, 2009 6:13 pm HealthCuboid manipulation and mobilization is a technique that is often used by chiropractors, physical therapists and podiatrists to treat cuboid syndrome. This syndrome is due to a cuboid bone that has been subluxed or moved slightly out of alignment with the bone around it that its forms joints with. The purpose of the manipulation is to move the cuboid back into place. The mobilisation involves a gentle movement of the cuboid relative to the bones around it. The cubioid manipulation is more dramatic and involves a sudden whip to the foot to try and place the cuboid back in place. This is better not practiced by those who are inexperienced.
