What Is Chagas Disease

5:15 am Health

Chagas disease is found in central and south America and the answer to the question what is chagas disease is that it is an inflammatory disease that is caused by a parasite and it is then spread by the excretment of the reduvid bug that is infected with it.

The parasite is passed from the biting and swallowing of the blood of an infected animal.

The parasites can also enter the body through the nose and mouth also. Another way of catching the disease is through contaminated food.

There are two stages of the disease and the more seroius one can lead to heart failure. For people spending long periods in countries with the disease there is more risk than those who are passing only a few weeks obviously.
