Why Drink Excessively When the Result is Nothing But Problems?
September 21, 2008 4:23 am HealthThe research literature shows that there are many negative alcohol effects when people engage in long-term alcohol abuse or alcohol addiction. For instance, the following represents a short list of some of the consequences of chronic alcoholism: broken, dysfunctional homes; impaired thinking; persistent remorse; an obsession with drinking; the loss of control once an individual starts to drink; and an increase in failed promises and resolutions to one’s self and to others. And this list has not even mentioned the multitude of medical problems and health issues that are associated with alcoholism. The message should be clear to anyone who cares about his or her health, relationships, employment, and finances: if you cannot drink in moderation, then don’t drink at all.
