Without a doubt, a halogen track light is a great investment for any home — the convenience of being able to reposition your lights anywhere you need them, without having to do any rewiring, is a definite plus. But you must keep in mind that halogen lights can develop quite a bit of heat — this means that your track lighting should not be located near curtains or drapes or fabrics — anything that could accidentally catch on fire. And of course, as with all types of lighting, make sure to keep children away from all types of halogen bulbs — they could burn themselves.
