Furnishing A House: It Takes A Village
December 6, 2008 6:13 pm HomeI come from a big close family and each one of them has an opinion.
So, when I was getting married, I not only had to work out a decorating scheme that both my husband and I loved, but also had to field the ideas as well as donated furniture from about twenty people.
While some of the pieces were elegant, much of it was old fashioned, dark, and did not fit our style. We didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
So my brilliant husband built a guest wing onto our house when we were planning it. In the two bedrooms, small kitchen and bathroom we put all of the unused furniture.
When family visits, they sleep on bedroom furniture which has sentimental value and they approve of our excellent decorating choices.
