The mayor of Calabasas, CA said that good planning planning will help the city of Calabasas get through these tough economic times.  Mayor Mary Sue Maurer gave an outline of the city’s plan for home growth and schools during the annual state of the city address.

Strong fiscal policies keep the city positioned well, she said, even if revenues drop in 2009 due to a downturn in the economic climage.  Maurer spoke to a standing room crowd at the Calabasas Library on January 21.

She hilighted some milestones from during her address at the opening of the new Calabasas Civic Center and ending of the 2030 General Plan.

According to Mayor Maurer,“Although the city is nearly built-out, intelligent growth still requires careful planning.”
