The Rules Of Personal Goal Setting
August 2, 2009 4:49 am ReferenceWhen it comes to personal goal setting there are various “rules” that are recommended by different authors. In the end you have to use what works for you. That may include the following:
1. Make sure your goal is congruent. In other words, be sure to aim for things that fit your talents and don’t conflict with any of your important values.
2. Write them down. When you write your goals down, be specific and set a deadline.
3, Take action now. Don’t wait to start progressing towards your goals. Taking any small step as soon as you set a goal gets momentum working for you.
