Conditioning is something that most players can’t stand to do, but they’ll appreciate it later. Unfortunately injuries are a big part of the game and the first week of practice will help prevent a team from having major injuries. Some of the drills used for getting in shape are suicides all the way down the floor, wind sprints, and running back and forth through obstacles.After this conditioning week is over, only then will other drills that pertain to the game be introduced. However, conditioning will always be a continuous part of Coaching Youth Basketball. It is just something that always has to be in the equation.
