We have lived in caleta de fuste Fuerteventura for nearly three years now, and can safely say, I have never been more relaxed. The pace and quality of life here is amazing, and each day seems like a Saturday – particularly as I work hard most days.

The island is limping through the credit crisis, as the one way to get to our island in any volume of numbers is by airplane, so we put up with jet-fuel costs, as well as reluctant vacation-takers worried about the weak Euro right now.

But it might not be all doom and gloom, we see a little light at the end of this vast tunnel, but its not here just yet.
